Deutsche Bank reported stronger results this July as its investment banking business continued to grow.

The German bank earned around €1.64 billion in profit during the second quarter of 2026, which was 10% higher than the same period last year. The results were also better than many analysts expected.

A major reason for the growth was stronger activity in investment banking. Revenue from services connected to business deals and financial markets increased, helping the bank perform well even as some costs went up.

The results show how investment banking can play an important role in the growth of major financial institutions. Deutsche Bank’s shares also moved higher after the earnings were announced.
